Star Fox put real-time polygon 3D graphics on a console that was not supposed to be able to do it. The Super FX chip embedded in the cartridge — developed by Argonaut Software and Nintendo — rendered geometry that the base SFC hardware could not produce, and in 1993 it was unlike anything console players had seen. Fox McCloud, Peppy, Slippy, and Falco became immediately iconic Nintendo characters. The Japanese Super Famicom version is called Star Fox — the game was renamed Starwing in Europe due to a trademark conflict, but Japan and North America kept the original name. Cartridge only, used, good condition.
