Collection: Famicom Games

Famicom Games

The Famicom is where Japanese gaming history begins. Nintendo's original 8-bit console launched in Japan in July 1983, more than two years before the NES reached Western markets, and its Japanese software library tells a different story from the one Western players experienced. Hundreds of Famicom titles never received NES releases, including RPGs, simulation games, and licensed titles rooted in Japanese culture that had no Western audience at the time. Even games that did cross over often shipped with different content, different music, and different difficulty levels in their Japanese originals. Every cartridge in this collection is authentic NTSC-J Famicom software, sourced directly from Japan, covering one of the most historically significant software libraries in gaming history.
