Lost Planet 2 [PS3] Japanese Import {used}

Developed and published by Capcom on Capcom’s MT Framework 2.0 engine, Lost Planet 2 is a four-player co-op third-person shooter set ten years after the original game on the planet E.D.N. III, now thawed from its ice age into a diverse mix of jungles, deserts, and industrial wastelands still crawling with colossal Akrid.

The entire campaign supports four-player online co-op, and the game features a deep character customization system alongside competitive multiplayer with unlockable weapons and gear. The box carries the Japan Game Awards 2009 Future Division award seal (日本ゲーム大賞 フューチャー部門受賞), given to the game in anticipation of its release.
For the PS3 version specifically, the Monster Hunter Rathalos Armor costume was initially a Japanese PSN-exclusive collaboration with Monster Hunter Tri, released ahead of Western territories.

The guest character roster also differs by platform — the PS3 version features Helghast and Scout costumes from Killzone and the Monster Hunter armor, while the Xbox 360 version received Gears of War’s Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago instead. The Lost Planet series also has a Japan-only chapter worth noting: E.X. Troopers, a direct spinoff built on the Lost Planet 2 engine, released in Japan in 2012 for PS3 and 3DS and was never localized for Western markets. This copy is the PlayStation 3 the Best budget reprint.
