Chunsoft's 1994 Super Famicom release — written by mystery novelist Soji Shimada — follows two characters trapped in a snow-bound ski lodge as a series of murders unfolds around them. Seventeen distinct endings reached through branching choices, with atmosphere built entirely through text, silhouetted imagery, and sound design. No animation, no cutscenes — just words and audio creating genuine dread.
