Fighters Megamix is Sega's ultimate Saturn crossover fighter, developed by AM2 and released in 1996. It brings together characters from Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighting Vipers into a single roster, then goes further with unlockable characters from Sonic the Fighters, Rent-A-Hero, and even the Hornet racing car from Daytona USA. It was Sega showing off what their Saturn hardware and AM2 team could do, and it remains one of the best fighting games on the platform. The Japanese version predates the Western release and is the original version of the game as AM2 intended it.
