Exalegiuse (エクサレギウス) PlayStation 1 | Disc Only | Japanese Import NTSC-J | Used
Exalegiuse is a 1998 space simulation RPG developed by Kogado Studio and published by Imagineer for the original PlayStation. Kogado Studio were known in Japan for their PC simulation series Schwarzschild, and Exalegiuse was released as a spin-off of that franchise — bringing its space opera setting to console for the first time. The game features fleet-based tactical combat on irregular-shaped battlefields, with units composed of three warships each carrying loadouts of weapons and defensive equipment including lasers, missiles, cannons, and shields. Combat plays out in real-time 3D polygon battle sequences, and equipment management between battles is central to the strategy. A niche mid-tier PS1 title that never left Japan, and a genuine curiosity for collectors interested in the edges of the PS1 simulation RPG library.
