Donkey Kong 64 is Rare's 1999 3D platformer for N64 and the most ambitious entry in the Donkey Kong series, featuring five playable Kongs each with their own unique abilities, instruments, and collectibles across massive interconnected worlds. It was the first game to require the Expansion Pak as a mandatory accessory, and it shipped with one in Japan — a testament to how technically demanding it was for the hardware.
