The original Dance Dance Revolution on PS1 is where one of gaming's most culturally significant franchises began its home console life. Konami's arcade phenomenon made its PS1 debut in Japan in 1999, bringing the full arrow-stepping gameplay home with both controller and dance pad support. The Japanese original predates any Western home release and carries the original Japanese song selection and presentation as Konami intended. DDR transformed arcade culture in Japan and eventually spread worldwide, but this PS1 disc is the origin point for the home version of that revolution.
